Terms and conditions
A deposit of 50% of the total is required to secure your reservation. The balance is due 3 days prior to your arrival.
All bookings made within 5 days of arrival require to be paid in full.
Minimum Stay Requirements
Arthur's House
Single-night bookings are available Monday to Thursday throughout the year, excluding the peak periods listed below. A $100 single-night surcharge applies per booking. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights require a minimum two-night stay.
The Retreat
A two-night minimum applies on all days of the week. Single-night bookings at The Retreat are not available as standard. Requests may be considered at our discretion, subject to group size and availability.
Peak period minimum stays (both properties)
A four-night minimum applies over Christmas, New Year, and Easter. Specific dates for each period are confirmed annually and available on request.
Occupancy
The maximum number of guests permitted is eight at Arthur's House and twelve at The Retreat. Guests may not invite additional visitors to the property overnight without prior written approval from Carrick. All occupants must be registered at the time of booking.
Cleaning and Property Condition
Bedding and towels are provided at the start of your stay. The property is not serviced during your stay. Guests are required to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition on departure. Carrick reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee where the property is left in an unsatisfactory state or where damage has occurred beyond fair wear and tear. Any damage to the property or its contents must be reported to Carrick immediately.
Events, Gatherings, and Commercial Use
No parties, weddings, events, photoshoots, commercial activities, or gatherings that exceed the number of registered guests are permitted without prior written approval from Carrick.
Carrick offers a range of event and celebration packages and welcomes enquiries for private gatherings at the property. Please contact us before making any booking if you are planning an event or celebration.
Any event, function, photoshoot, commercial activity, or gathering conducted on the property without Carrick's prior written approval will incur a minimum charge of $2,000. Additional charges may apply for cleaning, damages, security, or business disruption. Unauthorised events may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.
Agent Bookings
Where a booking is made by an agent on behalf of a guest, the agent accepts full responsibility for the guest's compliance with these terms and conditions. If the guest causes damage to the property or fails to comply with these terms, the agent is liable for any resulting costs.
For agents holding a credit account, invoices will be issued within seven days of checkout and are due on the 20th of the following month.
Pets
No pets are permitted on the property.
Smoking
Smokingis not permitted anywhere on the property, including outdoor areas.
Payment
A credit card surcharge applies to payments made by credit card. No surcharge applies when paying by direct bank transfer. Bank account details are provided at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation within 29 days of arrival date: 50% forfeit of the total booking price.
Cancellation within 6 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of the total booking price.
Cancellations more than 30 days from arrival: no penalty.
